This tutorial is showing you how to create the tennis court. You will use the Shape tool, Rotate tool, Offset tool, Line tool, Move tool and arch tool to create the model. You will apply the materials to the model created.

Here is the dimension of the tennis court.

Step 1 Use the Rectangle tool to create the tennis court. (eg:120’ x 60’). Use the Push Pull tool to pull up the rectangle with about 3" height.

Step 2 Use the Tape Measure tool to create the guide line for midpoint of the rectangle.

Step 3 Use the Line tool/Rectangle tool to create the inner rectangle shape.

Step 4 Delete the horizontal and the vertical guide line created in the step 2. Refer to the tennis court dimension above, draw the line of the tennis court. The width for the white line is 3 inch wide.

Step 5 Draw a rectangle shape (eg: 2”x2”) with the Rectangle tool. Then extrude the rectangle to make it become a tennis post to hold the tennis net. Group the extruded object. Use the Shape tool or Line tool to draw the socket to hold the net line. Use the Extrude tool to extrude the object. Group the socket.

Step 6 Select both the tennis post and the socket for the tennis net. Copy them to the right side of the tennis court as shown in the picture.

Step 7 Now we are going to draw the nest. Use the Line tool to draw the nest for the tennis court. To create the curve shape at the top of the nest, use the Arc tool to create it.

Step 8 Then after that, at the center of the net, draw a line. Use the Offset tool to offset the net. Creating Tennis Court Fencing You will create the fencing for the tennis court.

Step 9 You will create the fence at the corner of the tennis court. Use the Rectangle tool to draw a rectangle shape with the width and height of 10’. Then use the Circle tool to draw the border for the fence. Select the fence and save it as a component.

Step 10 Use the selection tool select the object, press CTRL key to duplicate it. Click at the bottom left corner of the object and drag to the right and click at the end point to duplicate it.

Step 11 To duplicate the object many times, Type x12 and press enter to confirm your action. The object will duplicate 12 times.

Step 12 Next, you will rotate the last fence 90 degree to the right. Select the object. Use the Rotate tool point to the top left corner of the object. When it changes to blue color, click at the center in group to set your reference point.

Step 13 Move your mouse to the right of the object. When it appears constrained on Line from Point, click at the point.

Step 14 Then rotate the object 90 degree to the right.

Step 15 You may zoom in to the bottom of the object to check is it attached to the border of the tennis court border. You can use the Move tool to reposition it.

Step 16 Do the same for the other side of the fence. Once you have done, you will get the following result. Apply material and color to the object.

Step 17 Now you will create a door for the tennis court. Select the fence and right click, choose Make Unique.
